Weight Gain Yoga



Yoga is renowned for reduction in the weight of the individuals but at the same time certain steps of yoga and a few asanas are highly beneficial in weight increase also. Yoga helps to build up stamina in the individuals and it also increases the appetite of the body. It helps to gain weight with the desired strength by maintaining the overall stature of the human body. The weight gain by yoga is harmonious all around the human body and it does not seem abnormal weight gain. It also provides proper shape to the body.

Undertaking weight gain exercises as a part of yoga is the best treatment for weight gain as it also provides stamina which increases the ability of the human body for taking up more activities. Yoga exercises, which don’t involve stretching and straining of the organs of the body help to provide better shape to the body. Shavasana (dead body pose) asana of yoga helps to increase the weight of the individual as it just involves lying down flat on the ground with easy breathing. This asana though considered to be the easiest with maximum inactivity compared to other yoga exercises is considered to rejuvenate the body so that it can feel more active and inspired to take up more work with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Generally an overweight person has less stamina and hence experiences tiredness easily. Regular practice of Yoga helps build stamina, stimulates appetite and helps in weight gain.

Very slim body gets tired soon and one feels lazy and lethargic and lack of stamina when one is too weak. Hence to have normal body weight it is very important to feel fine within one self and be active to take up a large number of activities in day to day life. Yoga can help provide the desired body stature and stamina.
