thank you for the response…i usually do aim for high intensity cardio, and of course strength training. I have a lot of energy so I when I workout I put what I have in the bank into my workout. one more question or maybe 2 more. since I’m currently working out twice a day approx 45 min each session x 5 days for the next 2 months (to supplement my lack of lifestyle activity), should I select the semi active (workout 3-5 days a week) option or the active option (workout more than 5 days a week? to balance out the 2nd session?). Also my calorie estimation of 1553-1760 that I get from the above calculation (the first one) is assuming that I burn approx 2 pounds a week or less? thank you!

simple answer to that…

start off with 1553-to1760 and slowly reduce by 250 if not satisfied but (i forgot what your weight and height was) but i’m assuming you’re close to your goal and only have about 10+ pouns to lose so only expect to lose .5-to-2 pounds a week so…

if you haven’t lost at least a .5 pound by 2 weeks then i would reduce caloreis but also…

look into doing a new kind of high intensiyt workout also that will shock your body

Hi- After using the calculator on your site to calculate calories needed to lose the last 10 pounds, I got a range of 1553-1779…of how much I should taking in given my workout routine. I am 5 1 & 27 yr old. I eventually want to return to the 115-120 and have about 15 pound to lose. I workout 5 days a week twice right now to lose the weight because my daily lifestyle is sedentary so I’m substituting an additional workout session for the lack of activities. I aim to burn approx 800-900 calories a day if not 1000 with my 2 workout sessions (i have a heart rate monitor with calories burned calculator). it’s a lot of work but I like working out so it’s all good. Back to the above calorie range…does this mean that if I eat at the lower range (1553 calories) I will lose 2lbs a week? and at the higher range 1773 I would lose a pound a week? also the option I used when I calculated this wasn’t accurate because there’ wasn’t an option for working out 5 days a week x 2 (i just chose 5 days a week; is this okay?)

No

you need to eat within that range so your body will not get used to the same amount of calories everyday and here’s one more hint:

when working out – dont worry about how many calories you burn – WORRY about giving it 110% and making your workout very intense because you can walk 10 miles real slow and burn 1000 calories a day and may not lose weight but…

if you go hard and sweat and then you’ll lose weight a lot faster because your body will burn calories even after you finished working out

I was looking at the BMI page and according to the scales and percentages, I need to be around 110 lbs in order to have flat abs. This falls in the low body fat percentage for a woman my height. So, if I don’t get down to 110lbs, I most likely will not have a flat tummy?

Hi! Me: Female 124lbs 5’1″ I used the Slim in 6 program from Beachbody to lose 5 lbs in six weeks(was 129 lbs). But my clothes now fit me as if I have lost ten lbs! I am happy with my progress, but I want to reduce my weight even more to maybe 115-120; everything shows up on my small frame. However I do not want to be bony! From your site, I see that I need to do HIIT four days a week. Twice a day if possible. 1) I want to be lean with LIGHT definition and maintain a feminine shape. 2) I want flat abs (not necessarily four/six packs) 3) I want to maintain/ get my waist even smaller 4) Keep my round butt

I ordered another program from Beachbody.com: Rev Abs, but I am concerned about overtraining my abs. Will direct ab work make the waist larger? Or will that only occur if I use heavy weights to work my abs? How can I keep my butt while losing weight? Slim in 6 used a lot of squats and lunges. It worked wonders, but will it increase the size of anything in the long term? (things I do not want to increase like waist, abs….)

ab work with light weights will not make waist bigger

you’ll keep your butt and if you DO LOSE anything off your butt it’ll just be fat – get more info here

if you are dong bodyweight or lightweight squats then you will not increase butt

I’m 57, 5′ tall, small frame, and workout 5 days/week. I work 2 jobs on Mon & Fri so I can’t workout those days. I spin Tues & Wed after my 7-4 job, Body Pump on Thurs pm & Sat am (before Sat 9-3 job). I eat 6 small meals/day per the trainer I was with. I am down to 120 lbs from 160 and stuck. Any suggestions? if you are 5 foot 8 inches and 114 pounds then that’s why you cant lose any weight since…

#1 – you are FAR from overweight #2 – you are normal and #3 – you have very little if any fat to lose

I need to lose 10 pounds before I go back to see my doctor in August. I exersie on my treadmill every day. It is so hot I can’t really walk outside right now. I have been diagnosed as a boardrline diabetic. I am constantly drinking water all day long.
